Tulsi, also known as Basil is one of the most significant ingredient used in Ayurvedic products and naturopathy treatments. It is known for its numerous health benefits due to which people use it in medicines and skin healthcare products. In India it is considered as the holy plant and worshiped as a deity in many parts too. Mostly because it has been helpful in curing several ailments since ancient days, it is also referred to as “Mother medicine of Nature”. Powerful yet nurturing, tulsi leaves can bestow its healing power in many ways – by consuming it in teas, as fresh leaves, mixed with other ingredients or in dried powder form.

1. Tulsi face pack for skin brightening

Take around 10 tulsi leaves and half a teaspoonful of milk powder. Grind the tulsi leaves with some water and add the milk powder to form a paste of medium consistency. Apply this paste on the face and let it dry for 20 minutes. Rinse the face with plain water. This tulsi face pack is excellent for brightening the skin. It adds an instant glow on the skin and skin feels instantly brightened due to the lactic acid and tulsi in it. This can be done 2 times a week and it’s good for all skin types including the sensitive skin as well.

2. Tulsi face pack for acne prone skin

You will need some 10 -12 Tulsi leaves, 7-8 Neem leaves and half a teaspoonful of sandalwood powder. Grind the neem and tulsi leaves and add sandalwood with some rose water. Once you get the paste, apply it on the cleansed face and wash off after 20 minutes. This Tulsi and neem face pack is wonderful for acne prone skin and both the ingredients are powerful anti-inflammatory and anti bacterial. Sandal wood further soothes the skin. You can use this 2 times a week.

3. Tulsi face pack for Dry skin

Dry skin can be difficult to tackle especially during winters then you can try this Tulsi face pack to combat the dryness and get the instant glow. Take some tulsi leaves and grind them, add some yoghurt and mix it well. Apply it on the face and keep for 15-20 minutes. This will quickly make the skin supple and nourished.

4. Multani Mitti and Tulsi face pack for Oily skin

While dry skin is hard to tackle, same is the case with oily skin as it is more likely to get pimples and break outs. This home made Multani Mitti face pack with tulsi leaves will be excellent to keep the skin oil free and clear. Take a teaspoonful of multani mitti (Fuller’s earth) and mix it with some grinded tulsi leaves. You can dilute the paste with some rose water or just the plain water. This is really easy to prepare. You will have to keep it for 20 minutes and it can be tried 2 times a week for oily skin to keep the skin problems away.

5. Tulsi face pack for fading marks and pimples

Another home made tulsi face pack that would be every effective in removing the marks and scars left by the breaks outs. You will need 10-12 Tulsi leaves and tomato pulp. Mix tomato pulp with some grinded tulsi leaves and apply this on your face for 15 minutes and rinse off with cold water.
