Four educational institutions of Odisha have made it to the National Institutional Ranking Framework(NIRF) Top 100 rankings. The Human Resource Development (HRD) ministry has released the NIRF rankings for higher educational institutions in India on Monday.
NIRF Top 100 rankings has placed Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University (SOA), Bhubaneswar at 33rd position, National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela at 46th place, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bhubaneswar at 66th spot and Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), Bhubaneswar at 79th position.
The Bengaluru-based Indian Institute of Science (IISc) bagged the top position. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras came in a close second. Check the full list here.
Despite political controversies, Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) was ranked as high as number six and Jadavpur Universty was ranked at number 12 in the university rankings announced by the Union human resource development ministry (MHRD) today.
Institutes are ranked by the National Bureau of Accreditation (NBA) based on their teaching and learning resources, graduation outcome, perception, outreach and inclusivity and research productivity. This year, the project has more than 800 new participants and some new categories introduced in medicine and law.
