Samaresh Routray the most stylish baddie of Ollywood. The actor made his Ollywood debut with the film “Mo Sunapua”and changed the trend of bad boys of Odia films was born on 3rd July at Bhubaneswar, Odisha to parents Late Alekha Prasad Routray & Laxmipriya Routray.

His family hails from Sipura, a beautiful coastal village in Kendrapara, Odisha. He is the youngest son in his family of six brothers & one sister who is eldest of all brothers.

He completed his schooling from Saheed Nagar High School & his formal education from Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyala, Bhubaneswar & then joined the National School of Drama, New Delhi.

The actor is the third actor after Ajit Das & Bijay Mohanty in Ollywood to have passed out from legendary National School of Drama.

He has performed under eminent directors in lead role in nearly 30 plays and 500 theatrical shows .As mentioned above the actor made his Ollywood debut with Odia film Mo Suna Pua and was followed by the critically acclaimed, state award winning film Dhauli Express. He is also doing some oriya serials, tv shows along with films now.

The film is still said to be one of the milestone film of the era.After Dhauli Express , the actor played a out n out negative character of an aspiring chief minister in Mukhyamantri, the film also starred Ollywood Megastar Siddhanth Mohapatra in a double role , and thus was followed by appriciable performances in his movies like Sanju Sanjana, Most Wanted,Loafer,Nai Separi Kanaka Gori,Love Master,Katak The silvercity and many more.

Samaresh  has also portrayed the role of Yashpal in the Hindi film 23rd March 1931 Saheed Bhagat Singh in the year 2002 with Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol.
